Albert Papikyan was born in Nalband in Armenia in 1926. He studied at Moscow Intermediate art school until 1941, Tbilisi Academy of Arts 1942 - 43 and at the Repin Institute 1944 - 49. He worked between Moscow and Armenia. He began exhibiting in 1949 and participated in the All Union Exhibitions after 1951. He is best known for his still lifes and landscapes, often of Armenia.
